 Weeding very small letters are made easier when after cutting place the vinyl in ice box and let the vinyl shrink before weeding.

 Getting rid of the green on signs, These are signs that have algae or mildew growing on them. Try mixing water and bleach about 50-50 and spraying on the sign. I don't rinse the solution off but that's up to you. Always check your surface first for discoloring.

Getting that yellow off (rust) mostly from water sprinklers. Gee I've watered the sign for three years and it still didn't grow. I mix a little muratic acid with water 50-50, Spray on and wash off. Follow all safety precautions on the bottle if you try this. 

Know your plastic, I have found that some plastic suppliers have different grades for the same product name. We use Plaskolite's Duraplex sg05 which means 50% modifiers have been added in making the rolls that we buy. If we said we use Duraplex we would be telling the truth, The flip side is what grade is being used. Duraplex can be purchased in 4 grades,  30% 50% 70% and 100%

      30% most ridged and breakable     100% most flimsy and almost unbreakable

We have tested the sg10 grade plastic to polycarbonate. We drove 16 penny nails thru it and found that the duraplex sg10 split less then the polycarbonate. Also put in a break to bend and found both were about equal for bending. And now how long does it last in the sun light. Polycarbonate yellows and lessens its impact strength in the sun light. the plastic should be good for up to 8-10 years and clearer. Check out thier web site for specs.
